Dear Student,
As I shared in my July 31 message, all students–regardless of where you will be living for the Fall semester–are required to complete the Fall 2020 Affirmation and provide the address where you will be studying this Fall and your emergency contact information, as stated in the 2020-21 Undergraduate Bulletin and 2020-21 Graduate Bulletin. Students who do not comply will be ineligible to register for the following semester and subject to student conduct disciplinary action.
You are receiving this email because our records show you have not completed the Fall 2020 Affirmation. Please log into the GU360 website, click on the “Fall 2020 Affirmation” icon, and follow the instructions.
It is vitally important for you to provide your address and your emergency contact information so that we are able to reach you and your emergency contacts in the event of an emergency this Fall. In addition, we must maintain accurate records of students who are living in the District of Columbia to comply with DC Department of Health guidance relating to the pandemic.
As a reminder for undergraduate students who will live in the Georgetown, Burleith, or Foxhall neighborhoods (“Neighborhoods”) this Fall, the District of Columbia Zoning Commission has waived the on-campus living requirement for the 2020-21 academic year, and you will not be subject to discipline for not meeting it.
To help keep you and the members of the Georgetown community living on or near campus safe, we will provide welcome kits, which include two free washable and reusable face coverings and a thermometer, to students living on campus and in the Neighborhoods this Fall.
Students living on campus and in the Neighborhoods also will participate in Georgetown’s testing program, which includes free COVID-19 testing through One Medical, a health care provider we are working with to implement our health and safety plan.
- We have already sent information about registering for One Medical and getting tested to students who we are aware will be living on or near campus for the Fall semester.
- If you indicate you will be living in the Neighborhoods, we will follow up with information about registering for One Medical and getting tested.
Georgetown’s dedicated faculty and staff are here to support you during this difficult time, regardless of whether you are living on campus, in the Neighborhoods, or elsewhere. We will be sharing more information about University resources with all students in the coming days.
