Serve the Community

Our Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching and Service supports several different student groups that serve our local community and beyond.

“Ultimately, despite how odd it may be to say that working at the largest student-run credit union is a major part of my social life, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union has introduced me to some of my closest friends, which I will forever cherish.”

“Like so many first-year students, I was searching for a community: a space where I could be myself and build lasting friendships. I found that space in Georgetown Women’s Club Rugby.”

“If someone told me that I’d meet some of the country’s top campaign strategists in August, chat in office hours with MSNBC’s Symone Sanders-Townsend in October, sit within an arm’s reach of the White House press secretary in March, and tour the AP Newsroom in April, I would have thought they were crazy. But experiences such as these are typical on the Hilltop, and can only happen at a place like Georgetown.”

Walk Jack the Bulldog

As a part of “Jack’s Crew,” you’ll assist in the day-to-day care and training of Georgetown’s live mascot, Jack. One of the perks of the job involves handling Jack at the basketball games downtown.
