In its research centers, scores of courses addressing AI and active pedagogical innovation, Georgetown is awash in work probing the use and limits of AI.

Undergraduate Certificate in AI
The undergraduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence prepares students of the College of Arts & Sciences to engage critically and responsibly with AI as a defining challenge of our time. Grounded in the liberal arts, the certificate will empower students to understand AI’s technical foundations and evaluate its societal impacts.
Master’s in AI Management
The School of Continuing Studies’ Master’s in Artificial Intelligence Management program prepares students to be leaders in a world defined by the emerging technology.
Microcredential in Applied AI
Georgetown offers a free microcredential to all students, faculty and staff that will equip them with the skill set to apply AI in their work. The self-paced course covers how to craft generative AI prompts while critically analyzing AI outputs. Students also learn how to weigh the ethical, security and privacy concerns around AI.
Foundations of AI
Georgetown offers undergraduate and graduate students a Foundations of AI course that will equip them with technical proficiency and ethical grounding in AI studies. Through guided facilitation and hands-on learning, the course prepares students to integrate AI into their personal, academic and professional lives.

The university is also evaluating other generative tools like Claude and ChatGPT to give the Georgetown community a full range of AI tools.
