Life on the Hilltop Campus
If you’re looking for a classic campus feel, you’ll find it on the Hilltop. Stately buildings dating back more than 100 years and green lawns are the backdrop. Against it, a warm community of students who are busy getting involved with everything that makes campus life meaningful.
Traditional Campus, Big City
In just one day at Georgetown, go from Lauinger Library to the Library of Congress. Dissect Shakespeare in class then catch a show at the National Theater. Experience the best of both worlds — a campus that feels like home and the excitement of DC.
Happening on the Hilltop
Whatever you’re in the mood for, you can find it here. Georgetown first-years quickly learn that getting involved in clubs, sports, and events like a day hike or game night is a way to meet your people and feed your passions.

Each week, pick from a full slate of talks by experts, scholars and global leaders speaking on the topics that matter to you the most. Hear about the history of Reconstruction in DC or join a discussion group exploring misinformation in the media.

As a Jesuit university, we care for our common home. The work includes several student-led initiatives: Georgetown ReUSE distributes pre-loved clothing, the Food Recovery Network reduces waste from campus eateries, and in the Hoya Harvest Garden students grow produce for the food pantry.

Hilltop life is rich with happenings. You can check out music and performances any night of the week. Catch a student band, dance to a DJ, get up at an open mic, or sample the many student stand-up and improv nights.
Student Clubs
Sing, dance, create, volunteer, debate or worship — there’s a club for everyone at Georgetown. Build a new skill, lead a team or help others as you find your friends through one of the many student clubs and organizations.
More to Do
Dorm Life
You’ll have a choice of living arrangements on campus, including rooms, suites, townhouses and apartments. Or you can opt for an undergraduate living-learning community, based on students’ shared interests — from academics to foreign languages.
Campus Dining
Are you a foodie? Then get excited. From numerous meal options on the Hilltop to the more than 2,000 restaurants in DC, you’ll find the culinary experience of a lifetime – locally sourced cuisine from various corners of the world.
Study Spots
From quiet areas for deep reflection — like the venerable Healy Hall — to gathering spaces alive with collaborative activity, the campus has a study spot to fit the need. Get into a passionate debate with an iced coffee or find your favorite hidden nook.
