Dear Members of the Georgetown University Community,
During the summer months, there are several adjustments to operations on campus to reflect the change in campus population. We hope this message provides a helpful overview for navigating these updated summer operations.
Campus Dining
Hoya Hospitality locations have varied hours of operation throughout the summer. Please visit www.hoyaeats.com for current hours.
The Table@Leos (Leo O’Donovan Hall) is open for summer from June 2 through August 10 and closed from August 11 through 17. Leo’s reopens for the fall semester on August 18, and fall meal plans start on August 22. Epicurean & Co. is open all summer.
For additional information regarding summer hours and how meals or flex dollars can be purchased for or by students please email Auxiliary Services at auxiliary@georgetown.edu.
All storefronts with The Corp will be closed for the summer from May 11 onwards. Hoya Snaxa and MUG (More Uncommon Grounds) will reopen later this summer. Hilltoss, The Midnight Mug, Uncommon Grounds and Vital Vittles will re-open in the fall.
GUTS Updates for the Summer
The Capitol Campus GUTS Shuttle (which connects the Hilltop Campus with the Capitol Campus) will have a modified summer schedule with fewer trips.
- The shuttle will begin its summer schedule on Monday, May 20, and will run through August 23.
- The shuttle will have a direct connection for 55 H St. and the Law Center/125 E St. to the Hilltop Campus.
- The shuttle does not run on holidays: May 27 (Memorial Day), June 19 (Juneteenth) and July 4 (Independence Day).

Georgetown University Bookstore
The summer hours for the Georgetown University Bookstore are as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Saturday: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Sunday: 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
UIS Service Desk
Summer hours are in effect for the UIS Service Desk in the Leavey Center Bookstore beginning Monday, June 3:
- Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Friday: 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
Agents will also be available for assistance by contacting the UIS Service Center or by email during the following hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
- Friday: 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
Mail Services
The Leavey Mail & Package Center continues its normal hours during the summer, open 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Libraries
Library services summer hours are in effect and can be viewed on the Georgetown University Library website.
- Lauinger Library building — Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m.–midnight; Friday: 8 a.m.–10 p.m.
- Lauinger Service Desk — Monday to Friday: 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Booth Family Center for Special Collections — Monday to Friday: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
- Maker Hub — By appointment only.
- Bioethics Research Library — Monday to Friday: 12–5 p.m.
- Blommer Science Library — Monday to Friday: 12–5 p.m. (June 6–August 12 only).
- School of Continuing Studies Library — Monday to Wednesday: 3–5 p.m.
Dahlgren Memorial Library hours remain the same and can be found on the library website.
Student Health Services
Summer hours are in effect for the Student Health Center:
- Monday, Wednesday to Friday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Summer hours for Health Education Services and CAPS will be posted on their websites.
Campus Recreation
Campus Recreation will operate using the following hours during the summer period:
Monday, May 13 – Sunday, June 2
Yates Main Floor and Kehoe Field
- Monday to Friday: 6 a.m.–9 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
McCarthy Pool:
- Monday to Friday: 7–9 a.m. | 11 a.m.–1 p.m. | 4–7 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Membership Office:
- Monday to Friday: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Monday, June 3 – Friday, August 2

All Campus Recreation Facilities will be closed for our annual period of cleaning and maintenance projects from Saturday, August 3rd to Sunday, August 18th.
