Join Georgetown University’s 2023 Let Freedom Ring Choir
Current Georgetown students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the Let Freedom Ring Choir to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a special concert at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
The event—scheduled for Monday, January 16, 2023—is free, open to the public and features a performance by a guest celebrity artist with the Let Freedom Ring Choir (past artists include Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, India.Arie, Smokey Robinson, Patti LaBelle, Vanessa Williams, Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Chaka Khan) along with the presentation of The John Thompson, Jr. Legacy of a Dream Award.
To be eligible to participate in the Let Freedom Ring Choir, all interested individuals must attend:
- at least one of the two rehearsals in Fall 2022, and;
- at least three of the four rehearsals in January 2023.
Interested individuals are required to complete the sign up form below by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, October 24.
