Title: Free Flu Vaccinations on Campus on 9/22 and 9/27

Dear Students,

Flu season is around the corner, and some experts believe that this will be an early and severe flu season. One of the best steps you can take to prepare and to protect yourself and others is to get your flu vaccine as soon as possible.

The Student Health Center, with support from students in the Schools of Nursing and Medicine, is offering free walk-in flu vaccination (injection) clinics for students from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, and Tuesday, September 27.

The clinics will be held in the Faculty Club in the Leavey Center. There are no appointments, walk-in only.

  • Please bring your GOCard (mobile or physical).
  • You must wear a mask while at the vaccination clinic.
  • There is no need to space out the flu vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine shots if you are eligible for and planning on getting the new bivalent booster. While these clinics will only have the flu vaccine available, you can get the bivalent COVID-19 booster at various locations in Washington, D.C., including at local pharmacies , and in D.C.-government operated COVID Centers. You may visit gov to find a location to schedule your booster or reach out to hoyavaxa@georgetown.edu with inquiries about the bivalent COVID-19 booster.

If you have any questions about receiving a flu vaccination, please refer to your primary care physician or to the Student Health Center.

Thank you for taking this important step to protect your own health and the health of our community.

Sincerely,
