Urban apiculture and backyard beekeeping are booming trends with many interesting elements that connect people to food and their environment. In this session you will learn about the native pollinators and honey bees that call the Hilltop home. To help counter threats to the Earth’s biodiversity, Georgetown has made a long-term commitment to increasing native and non-native pollinators on campus and has recently obtained recognition as a Xerces Society Bee Campus.
