The STIA Program invites you to a virtual discussion of “The Survival Nexus: Science, Technology and World Affairs” with Charles Weiss, Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Georgetown University. This talk will be moderated by Dr. Joanna. Lewis, Provost Distinguished Associate Professor and Director of the Science, Technology and International Affairs Program.
Professor Weiss was distinguished professor of science, technology and international affairs at Georgetown from 1997-2014. He also served as Chair of this program from 1997-2006. Previously he was first Science and Technology Adviser to the World Bank, serving in that position from 1971-86, and Visiting Lecturer at Princeton University.
