Join us for a conversation with Claire McCleskey(SFS’12/SSP’14) as she discusses her career exploration post-graduation and shares insights from her experience. Claire is a Senior Sanctions Policy Adviser at the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Previously she worked as a Principal in Promontory’s Financial Crime Solutions Center, where she advised clients on the design, enhancement, and execution of Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering(BSA/AML), sanctions, and fraud programs. Prior to joining Promontory, Claire Was a Global Lead Investigator on HSBC’s Global Complex Investigations team inLondon. Claire previously worked in the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). During her time at the U.S. Treasury, she served as FinCEN’s Attaché in Mexico City. Claire also worked as an investigative researcher and writer at InSight Crime in Washington, DC and Medellin, Colombia. She holds an M.A. from Georgetown’s Security Studies Program and a BSFS from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. She is from Atlanta, Georgia.
