Join the Georgetown University Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and the National Weather Service (NWS) for a Basic SKYWARN Storm Spotter training. You’ll learn the essentials of storm spotting, including thunderstorm development, how storms are structured, how to recognize potential severe weather, and essential reporting techniques. Additionally, you’ll learn the basics of severe weather safety, equipping you to confidently navigate challenging weather conditions.
This free, informative training will take place at the Hilltop campus on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 12 PM – 2 PM in the Leavey Program Room. Registration will remain open until the start of the training; however, space is limited, so sign up today!
