Migrants, Migrations, and Border Challenges
The event series Mexico, Mexicans, and the United States: Inseparable Challenges will feature conversations on questions key to the 2024 Mexican presidential elections. This final conversation in the series will feature Ana Raquel Minian of Stanford University, Marta Guerrero of Yale University, and Katharine Donato of Georgetown University. The conversation will be moderated by John Tutino, director of the Americas Forum, author of The Mexican Heartland (2018), and editor of New World Cities (2019). Each presenter will share information, insights, and perspectives on the complexities of the U.S.-Mexican border and migration policy in both countries, followed by conversations including the audience. The goal is to illuminate fundamental problems and uncertain futures as Mexico faces June presidential elections, followed by the U.S. presidential elections in November.
This event is convened by the Americas Forum at Georgetown University.
