Mass of the Holy Spirit
The Office of Mission & Ministry invites all students, faulty, and staff at Georgetown University to participate in our annual celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit on Tuesday, August 23rd at 4:00 p.m. in Gaston Hall.
Dating to 1548, the Mass of the Holy Spirit is a tradition among Jesuit academic institutions in which the community gathers to express gratitude for God’s creative and transformative work, and to seek the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit in the coming year.
University chaplains from various faith traditions will be present at the Mass. All are welcome to join us for this annual celebration as we begin the academic year together. Current health protocols will be followed, including masking for all present.
Family, friends, and those not able to join us at Mass are welcome to join us by livestream on the Georgetown University Facebook page.
