Stories of Wrongful Convictions: A Documentary Showcase
Join Making an Exoneree for the premiere of five student-made short documentaries that reveal the facts – and falsehoods – of wrongful conviction cases from around the country. Over the Spring 2024 semester, 15 Georgetown undergraduate students collaborated with Georgetown Law students in the Making an Exoneree course and dedicated themselves to uncovering the truth about these cases.
The final short films dissect the wrongful convictions of Gary Benloss, Ronald Glenn, Donna Hockman, Amanda Lewis, and Robert Ochala, who have spent a combined 93 years in prison. The students hope that by sharing these stories, they can help rectify these injustices and bring innocent people home.
