Healthy Aging Symposium
Fisher Colloquium, Hariri Building
July 14, 2022
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Plan to attend the first annual symposium focused on aging. This event is free and open to all members of the Georgetown community and our community collaborators and partners.
Presenters will be addressing critical issues in aging research, policy and care from cells to society and include transdisciplinary researchers from several Georgetown Schools, cross-campus programs, community groups, MedStar Health and the NIH.
Our goal is to have attendees get to know others interested in aging, describe resources, and stimulate people coming together to form new teams to address challenges of an aging society.
The symposium will include:
Sponsored by the GUMC Center for Healthy Aging, the Aging and Alzheimer’s Research Training Program, the Georgetown Aging and Health Program, and the Georgetown Lombardi Institute for Cancer and Aging Research.
Please submit an abstract for consideration for the poster sessions. Topics can include a program related to aging (e.g., describing a community service program, training program, fellowship programs), resources available to support aging or research across any field relevant to aging.
Please organize the abstract using the following sections as applicable: background, objectives, methods/program, results, conclusions, implications for aging activities at GU and beyond.
Use 12 point font and a maximum of 350 words. Please include your poster title, collaborators, and organizations/affiliations.
Please submit abstracts using the link provided at left before midnight, June 23, 2022.
Selections will be made by June 30 and information sent with the poster board dimensions.
