Upper Marlboro, Maryland (Meet at the McDonough Bus Turnaround)
Join us for a tour of Deep Roots Farm, a Black-woman owned farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland
We will walk the land and learn about regenerative farming practices with farmer-owner Gale Sutton, who will also share about Black land stewardship and advancing equity within the community-supported agriculture movement. We will also try some fresh produce!
We will meet at 10am at the McDonough Bus Turnaround on main campus to take a shuttle bus to the farm. The tour itself will be from 11am to 1pm, with plans to return by approximately 2pm. Lunch will be provided.
