“Fat and bugs affect anti-tumor immunity”
Abstract:
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common causes of cancer related death worldwide. Immune checkpoint blockade therapy has been recently approved by the FDA to treat HCC. I will discuss how fatty liver diseases may affect anti-tumor immunity in the liver. I will discuss novel treatment options for patients with HCC and how the gut microbiome affects anti-tumor immunity in the liver.
The seminar will be recorded.
