Title:
“The National Cancer Institute: Leading Cancer Research in 2021 and Beyond”
Abstract:
Despite the upheaval and challenges of a global pandemic, a new golden age of cancer research—marked by astounding progress—beckons the nation’s research community. Undeniable factors such as declining mortality rates and emerging technologies herald even greater momentum. As it has over the last 50 years and more, the National Cancer Institute is embracing bold ideas to lead and accelerate this progress, to seize new scientific opportunities and breakthroughs, to address health disparities and improve health equity, all while sustaining vital support for investigator-initiated research that can—and must—fuel the engine of scientific discovery.
The seminar will be recorded.
