Speaker Bio: Dr. Deshpande is an Assistant Professor in Quantitative Sciences at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins University. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison. His research is focused on the development of machine learning tools and mathematical models for understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics driving heterogeneity in the tumor progression and therapy response in individual patients. This research encompasses the design of bioinformatics analytics methods specifically tailored for the analysis of single-cell and spatial data.
