Community Conversation with Madeleine George: Queerness and Environmentalism in ‘Hurricane Diane’
Join the Department of Performing Arts and playwright Madeleine George for a conversation on the climate crisis, queerness, and her critically acclaimed play Hurricane Diane. Madeleine is a writer and executive story editor on the hit Hulu mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building and authored the award-winning play The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence. Moderated by Classics professor Claire Catenaccio, this informal conversation celebrating opening night will feature Georgetown thinkers Kwame Otu (Associate Professor, African Studies), Maya Roth (Professor, Theater and Performance Studies), Michael T. Williams (Hurricane Diane Director), Riley Jelenick (Director of the LGBTQ+ Resource Center), and Shelby Gresch (Earth Commons Research Associate). Refreshments and mingling to follow!
