Anti-Racism in the European Context
A panel discussion with Scott Taylor, Vice Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, SFS/Georgetown University; Mrim Boutla, SFS Career Center and Europe specialist; Katrin Sieg, Director of the BMW Center for German and European Studies
Conversations on race, anti-racism, and race relations have grown exponentially following the death of George Floyd. Europeans, too, confront these issues with new vigor. Americans in Europe struggle to reconcile their understanding of race and anti-racism in an American context with learning about race-relations and challenges in their current country of residence.
The panel addresses many GU alumni efforts to learn how to cope and potentially improve their lives and workplaces in a culturally-sensitive way.
This event is sponsored by the BMW Center for German and European Studies.
