- Self-quarantine upon your return to DC (faculty or staff members who live on-campus can self-quarantine in their on-campus residences).
- Get a COVID-19 test 3-5 days after you return.
- Self-quarantine until you receive a negative test result, at which point your self-quarantine can end. You will not be permitted to return to campus, except for testing, until you receive a negative test result.
Returning Residential Students
Students approved to live on campus in Fall 2020 who will continue to do so in Spring 2021
Students who will NOT travel off campus between December 19 and January 24
- Complete the Spring 2021 Affirmation.
- Continue to get tested in accordance with the University’s COVID-19 Testing Protocol.
- Fill out the COVID-19 Daily Check-in survey in the GU360 app before arriving on campus.

Students who will travel to non-Georgetown locations in Washington, DC, Maryland or Virginia at some point between December 19 and January 24.
- Complete the Spring 2021 Affirmation.
- Before returning to campus, restart completing the COVID-19 Daily Check-in survey in the GU360 app before arriving on campus.

- Continue to get tested in accordance with the University’s COVID-19 Testing Protocol when you return to campus.
Students who will travel at some point to any state or country other than Washington, DC, Maryland or Virginia between December 19 and January 24
- Complete the Spring 2021 Affirmation.
- Get a COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to your return to DC, and self-quarantine following the test. Do not travel if your test is positive. A free home kit will be delivered to your U.S. address at least seven days prior to your return.
- You must review and update your primary address in your One Medical account via the account profile to match the address where the kit should be shipped.
- Students traveling from non-U.S. locations should get tested with a third-party health care provider and send your test results directly to Georgetown’s chief public health officer at covid19-test-results@georgetown.edu.
- Before returning to campus, restart completing the COVID-19 Daily Check-in survey in the GU360 app before arriving on campus.

- Get a second test upon arrival to campus, then begin self-quarantining;
- Get a third test three to five days after arriving in DC;
- Upon notification from a care navigator of a negative result from your third test you may exit self-quarantine.
- Continue to get tested in accordance with the University’s COVID-19 Testing Protocol.
Returning Neighborhood Students
Students living in the Neighborhoods of Georgetown, Burleith of Foxhall in Fall 2020 who will continue to do so in Spring 2021
Who will NOT travel outside of the Neighborhoods between December 19 and January 24
- Complete the Spring 2021 Affirmation.
- Continue to get tested on campus in accordance with the University’s COVID-19 Testing Protocol.
Who will travel to non-Georgetown locations in Washington, DC, Maryland or Virginia at some point between December 19 and January 24.
- Complete the Spring 2021 Affirmation.
- Get tested in accordance with the University’s COVID-19 Testing Protocol when you return to the Neighborhoods.
Who will travel at some point to any state or country other than Washington, DC, Maryland or Virginia between December 19 and January 24
- Complete the Spring 2021 Affirmation.
- Get a COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to your return to DC, and self-quarantine following the test. Do not travel if your test is positive. To fulfill this requirement, you can:
- Request an at-home test kit be mailed to your U.S. address prior to your return at no cost to you; be sure to follow ALL instructions when requesting your kit.
- You must review and update your primary address in your One Medical account via the account profile to match the address where the kit should be shipped.
- Requests must be made at least 14 days prior to your return to DC and not later than December 26, 2020.
- Get tested at any one of the 85+ One Medical locations nationwide; the cost will be billed to your insurance, though most insurance companies are covering the full cost of COVID-19 testing. Members can book a testing appointment online or in the One Medical app, entering a reason for the visit (ex: “COVID test”), selecting “COVID PCR Test” as your appointment type, and selecting a location and time.
- Get tested with a third-party health care provider.

As part of registration, you must authorize One Medical to receive COVID-19 test results and health data self-reported through the mobile application and to release COVID-19 test results and daily risk assessment information reported through the mobile application to Georgetown.
- Georgetown will continue to comply with all applicable privacy, confidentiality and public health laws related to collection and maintenance of testing and other health-related records.
