Workshop: Subnational Measurement with Geospatial Data with Dr. Le Bao
Studying subnational units (such as states, counties, legislative districts, commuting zones, etc.) is often impeded by the limited and unevenly distributed data. This workshop provides an overview of the issues and methods involved in creating measures for subnational units and an introduction to the Bayesian spatial methods. We will cover both conventional Multilevel Regression with Poststratification (MrP) and Bayesian geospatial kriging methods with implementations in R and Python. Basic familiarity with either language and with linear regression is expected. RSVP at https://bit.ly/MDIWorkshopsFall2022 and add to your Google calendar.
