Andrew Walker (SFS’16, G’21) is the Communications associate in Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement.

At 18, I was attracted to Georgetown’s core undergraduate curriculum and interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving. I love that the university is a self-sufficient campus with all the resources of a global city.

As a staff member, I now have the opportunity to highlight the university’s leadership on global issues and support the university’s experiential and interdisciplinary academic programs.

Georgetown encourages me to consider my place in the world, recognize injustice and work toward improving the lives of others. I hope that my work for the university helps prospective and current students learn about opportunities at Georgetown that expand their capacity for learning, empathy and action.”
