Attitude is Everything: Challenging Gender Stereotypes
No country has achieved gender equality yet. How do we overcome persistent inequalities? What is working for women and girls – and could be scaled to accelerate progress?
Join us to launch a five-part virtual event series to mark the 25th anniversary of the UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, informed by a groundbreaking report from the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security and The Rockefeller Foundation. The report draws on the wisdom and experience of women from every sector, with the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action at its center, to offer a roadmap for the way forward.
This panel will focus on three critical agents of change – male allies, traditional and religious leaders, and advertisers – and their role in changing the discriminatory gender norms that continue to limit the empowerment of women and girls around the world.
Please RSVP on eventbrite to receive the Zoom link. The program will also be livestreamed on GIWPS’ Facebook page. This event will have live closed captioning.
