The Office of Mission & Ministry is pleased to announce the inaugural Sr. Thea Bowman Lecture to celebrate the life and legacy of Sr. Thea Bowman. The Office of Mission and Ministry is pleased to welcome Rev. Dr. Gayle Fisher-Stewart as the inaugural lecturer. A pastor, scholar, and activist, her witness resonates with Sr. Thea’s vision for the church, grounded in the experience of the African-American Christian community. A national leader, Dr. Fisher-Stewart’s ministry serves at the intersections of gender, race, and religion, particularly in the greater Washington, D.C. region.
