Georgetown University joins the nation, the District and our student and faculty community in celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month this May.
We invite community members to explore the “Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Cultures and Heritage at Georgetown” landing page, where you can find upcoming events, insightful resources and inspiring stories.
This month, we celebrate and recognize the many contributions of Georgetown’s AAPI community and broader society. This includes a range of academic programs and interdisciplinary efforts intended to advance the teaching and scholarship on AAPI heritage and culture.
Student groups, including the Asian American Student Association, Chinese Student Alliance, GU Jawani, Guzaarish, the Hong Kong Student Association, Taiwanese American Student Association and others, recognize AAPI heritage with events across campus year-round. Take a look at this year’s events, both on campus and in the broader DC community.
We encourage you to check back on AAPI Heritage Month events and the “Celebrating AAPI Heritage and Culture at Georgetown” landing page for updates throughout this important month.
