Georgetown University uses GU SMS Updates (short code: 38128) to send auto-dialed text messages to provide you with information regarding: announcements, deadlines, important information related to COVID-19 public health requirements or updates, or other university- or student-related business. These text messages are separate from those HoyaAlert text messages, which convey guidance in the event of an incident affecting the safety or security of Georgetown University’s Main Campus, Medical Center, School of Continuing Studies and Law Center.

Messaging frequency will typically be 2 messages per week. Note that SMS communications from Georgetown University may not be available through all mobile carriers. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
