    INSTRUCTIONAL STATUS

    Classes will begin at their normally-scheduled times and in their normal locations unless faculty notify their classes that they are implementing their instructional continuity plan.

    EMPLOYEE STATUS

    Designated emergency employees must report to work on campus on time. All other employees are expected to work as scheduled, either on campus or remotely.

    Employees, including those working remotely, who are unable to maintain their normal work schedule should follow their department’s normal call-in procedure and use accrued paid leave, if appropriate.

    While campus roads and pathways on our Hilltop and Capitol Campuses have been cleared and are navigable, tomorrow’s operating status is a result of the ongoing and significant impacts to roads in the region and disruptions to public transit lines. We recognize the ongoing impact of this inclement weather situation and thank you for your patience while we work to return campus to a normal operating status as soon as possible.

  • Instructional Status

    • Classes will begin at their normally-scheduled times and in their normal locations unless faculty notify their classes that they are implementing their instructional continuity plan.

    • Designated emergency employees must report to work on campus on time. All other employees are expected to work as scheduled, either on campus or remotely.

      • Hybrid employees who are scheduled to work on campus should check with their supervisor to determine their status for the day. Remote workers should work as originally scheduled.

    A designated arrival time will be communicated via HOYAlert. All events starting before the designated arrival time should be rescheduled, postponed or moved to virtual.

  • Instructional Status

    • Classes scheduled at or after the designated arrival time will begin at their normal times and in their normal locations, unless faculty notify their classes that they are implementing their instructional continuity plan. Classes scheduled to start before the designated arrival time will be held according to the faculty member’s instructional continuity plan.
  • Employee Status

    • Designated emergency employees must report to work on campus as instructed. All other employees, including those working remotely, are expected to report to work at the designated arrival time, will be paid for their scheduled hours and will not be required to use accrued leave for the period of delay.
      • Employees, including those working remotely, who are unable to work should follow their department’s normal call-in procedure and use accrued paid leave, if appropriate.
      • Hybrid employees who are scheduled to work on campus should check with their supervisor to determine their status for the day. Remote workers should work as originally scheduled.

  • Early Departure with Instructional Continuity; Essential Services for Campus Residents

    A designated departure time will be communicated via HOYAlert. All events starting after the designated departure time should be rescheduled, postponed or moved to virtual.

  • Instructional Status

    • No classes will be held in person after the designated departure time. In-person classes that normally conclude after the designated departure time should either end at the designated departure time, or should be held according to the faculty member’s instructional continuity plan (i.e., virtually or in another mode that is not in-person). Classes scheduled to begin at or after the designated departure time should be held according to the faculty member’s instructional continuity plan.
  • Employee Status

    • Designated emergency employees must continue to work and report to work on time as scheduled. All other employees working on campus should depart by the designated departure time, will be paid for their scheduled hours and will not be required to use accrued leave for the period of early dismissal. Employees working remotely should continue to work as scheduled, if possible.
      • Employees unable to maintain their normal work schedule remotely due to childcare/school closures impacting their dependents or other related impacts should contact their managers.
