Title: We Heard You: New Testing Option Available On Campus

Dear Off-Campus Student:

As a student who lives in one of the neighborhoods adjacent to campus, you are required to have a COVID-19 test once a week. Our testing protocol was developed by our public health experts to keep you and other Hoyas in the neighborhood safe. It is important to us — as we know it is to you — that completing this requirement is as convenient as possible.

Based on feedback from off-campus students, we have made arrangements to add additional capacity to on-campus testing and are able to add this new option. Moving forward, you can choose between:

  • A free test on campus, by appointment, at the McDonough Gym.
  • Ordering a weekly at-home test kit (which you can return to a FedEx box or by scheduling a FedEx pickup at no cost to you). You can also drop-off the FedEx box at the Guard House next to Healy Gates at 37th and O streets from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Your swab should be picked up or dropped off on the same day you collect it.

Students must either take an on-campus test OR request a mail in test by Tuesday, September 22. Please schedule your appointment today and plan for weekly tests. If you have already requested or received an at-home test this week, we ask that you perform the test and return it via FedEx by Friday, September 18, at 4 p.m.

If you choose to test on campus, you may self-schedule your appointments through the One Medical app or website and select an on-campus testing site.

Please also make sure you have signed the One Medical consent form (open the One Medical App, select “COVID-19 Daily Check-in,” and click “sign the consent form” under “First time users”).

You are required to follow these important public health measures and must be tested once per week. Please know that failure to do so will result in a referral to Student Conduct.

New testing slots are added daily, so please continue to check the app for appointment availability. You will get your test results via a secure message in your One Medical account.

Please refer to these frequently asked questions and the full breakdown of testing requirements and the rare exceptions to routine testing.

If you have any questions or concerns about the testing process or the One Medical app, please contact One Medical at 1-888-ONEMED1 (1-888-663-6331) or hello@onemedical.com.

For general inquiries about COVID-19, please call or email the University COVID-19 Helpline so that the appropriate University representative can answer your questions:

Every Hoya has a role to play in keeping our community safe. Our ability to return more students safely to campus depends on the actions of our on-campus students as well as of those living in the neighborhoods adjacent to campus.

Sincerely,
