Title: Update on Georgetown’s One Medical Partnership

Dear Colleagues,

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Georgetown partnered with One Medical in an effort to support testing protocols and expand healthcare access for the community. However, since that time, utilization levels have declined significantly. As we continue to evaluate our benefits portfolio to ensure long-term sustainability and responsible stewardship of university resources, we must make thoughtful decisions about where we invest.

After careful review of utilization, cost and overall benefit strategy, Georgetown University’s partnership with One Medical will conclude effective June 30, with member deactivation beginning Sept. 30, 2026.

We are working closely with One Medical to support a smooth transition. As part of this transition, beginning July 1, 2026, active faculty and staff will receive 90 days of continued One Medical membership at no cost, allowing time to transition care. At the end of this period, those who wish to continue may do so through a discounted personal membership. Additional details regarding continuation options and timelines will be shared directly with active members.

We recognize that this service has been meaningful to many members of our community. At the same time, we remain committed to maintaining a comprehensive and competitive benefits program while managing overall costs in a sustainable way.

Additional transition guidance and frequently asked questions will be provided in the coming weeks.

Be well,
