Title: Update on Approved Teleworker States

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce that the University has recently added Georgia, Arizona and Delaware to the list of approved states for teleworkers, marking 21 states in which Georgetown is set up to hire. Current Georgetown or NextSource employees residing in these three states should expect to receive further information in the coming weeks in regards to this new approval.

We continue to make progress on increasing the University’s ability to recruit and hire talent for positions designated as fully telework in a broader geographic area. The ability to hire from additional states will have tremendous recruitment and retention advantages for departments with approved remote positions.

As a reminder, departments wishing to hire an employee who will primarily telework from outside the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia metropolitan area must follow the protocol outlined on the Human Resources website, which details the process for hiring teleworkers.

If you have any questions, contact your HR Client Services Partner. Otherwise, continue to monitor the Telework overview website where we will post updates as new states are approved for teleworking.

Sincerely,

Anthony D. Kinslow, MA, JD
Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
