Title: Update: Launch of the Faculty Active Reporting (FAR) Website & Training Available

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Following our June announcement on the Faculty Activity Reporting system, we are writing to share the next major milestone for the 2026–2027 academic year: the official launch of the centralized Faculty Activity Reporting website. This platform responds to requests for a streamlined, automated review process that eliminates redundant data entry. The new website serves as your central hub for resources, step-by-step guides, and technical support.

Staggered Campus Rollout Timeline

To accommodate distinct academic and evaluation calendars, the platform will implement a staggered launch:

  • Main Campus: October 2026
  • GUMC
    • University-employed faculty: December 2026
    • Non-university employed faculty: March 2027
  • GU-Q: December 2026
  • Law Center: January 2027

Training & Support Available

Campus-specific support is available now on the website to ensure you are equipped well ahead of your launch window:

  • Role-Specific Workshops: Synchronous training tailored for faculty, evaluators, and administrative staff.
  • Asynchronous Resources: Recorded sessions, short 2-to-6 minute video tutorials, and written step-by-step guides.

Please visit the FAR website to review and register for your campus-specific sessions, and to learn more about the features of FAR and how to prepare for your campus launch.

An important note regarding data control and privacy in the FAR System is that faculty members maintain full autonomy over their professional footprint. Every section features privacy toggles to choose what is shared publicly, shared with the Georgetown community only, or kept private for internal reporting.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we deploy a system that saves administrative time and celebrates the incredible contributions of Georgetown’s faculty.

Sincerely,

Soyica Diggs Colbert
