Title: Upcoming Chilled Water Line Improvements on Campus

Dear Members of the Georgetown University Community,

We are reaching out to inform you of two upcoming projects to improve the chilled water service on campus. To ensure the university’s cooling systems function properly during the warmer weather later this spring and summer, we are beginning this work now.

Both projects will start on Monday, February 26, and are expected to be completed in early April. Work hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. There may be some noise as a result of this work.

Reiss / Arrupe Project

The sidewalk between Arrupe Hall and Reiss Science Building will be closed for repairs on the chilled water line between the two buildings. Pedestrians will be rerouted between Reiss and the ICC. You can also reroute through the hallway on the ground floor of Arrupe during the day until 10 p.m. Both of these routes are ADA-accessible.

White-Gravenor / Red Square Project

The sidewalk in front of the southwest entrance of White-Gravenor Hall will be partially closed for repairs on the chilled water line. A fence will be installed to block off the work area (including a section of Red Square). There will be no impact to the entrance of the Student Services Center or the ADA ramp on the west side of the building.

Thank you for your patience as we undergo these important campus improvements. The Georgetown University Campus Map will have updated information on the reroutes as a result of this work, and you can view the Active Construction Website for updates.
