Dear Students,
As was announced in Interim President Groves’ message in late February, the university is deploying Gemini, Google’s generative AI solution, to students, faculty and staff. We are excited to provide you with the opportunity to now claim your Gemini license.
How to Claim Your License:
To get started, please visit GU360 to begin the claims process. This is an opt-in process where you will review and acknowledge a usage agreement and watch a short video about Gemini.
Resources:
In collaboration with CNDLS, the University Library and Google, we are providing the following list of resources to support the community as we embark on the journey of generative AI. These resources will be updated on an ongoing basis, so please visit them frequently.
- UIS AI Website
- CNDLS Gemini Resources
- CNDLS NotebookLM Resource
- CNDLS Google Apps Resource
- Library AI Resources
As a reminder, faculty will retain control over the use of AI in their classrooms and teaching; students will be expected to follow faculty guidance on approved use in their individual courses.
We look forward to hearing from you about your experiences using Gemini and welcome any feedback using this form. For additional information on Google Gemini, please visit our website, contact help@georgetown.edu or call the Help Desk at (202) 687-4949.
Sincerely,
Office of the CIO
