Dear Graduate Students,
Each year at this time, we provide an update on recent university decisions regarding tuition levels for the upcoming academic year in order to help students plan.
Graduate tuition rates vary by school and degree program due to variances in the cost of delivering specific types of educational experiences. Please find the information for tuition rates for your particular program for the upcoming academic year on the Approved Tuition and Fee Rates for 2026-2027 listing.
Tuition rates for the academic year 2026-2027 represent a balanced approach to managing the cost of attendance, ensuring adequate resources needed for academic and student priorities, new programs and initiatives, and our commitment to minimizing additional fees. For the academic year 2024-2025, the university dedicated a record $268 million to financial aid for undergraduate and graduate students. We will continue to increase our institutional support for financial aid.
Georgetown University is closely monitoring federal legislation regarding financial aid, specifically the new caps imposed on federal graduate student loans and the elimination of the Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan program. We recognize the uncertainty these changes cause for many in our graduate community.
Georgetown is committed to supporting our students through this evolving landscape. We are currently exploring a range of options, including potentially identifying private lenders who have indicated a willingness and ability to provide competitive educational loan options to Georgetown students, to ensure our students continue to have access to the resources necessary to fund their education. We expect to share an update on these alternative aid pathways in January 2026.

We are deeply grateful for your significant investment in a Georgetown education and for your many contributions to our campus community and Catholic, Jesuit educational mission.
Best wishes,
