Dear Members of the Georgetown University Community,
To further support the university’s efforts to be an inclusive community that is accessible to people with disabilities, an effort deeply grounded in our mission and Jesuit values, we are excited to launch a new “Accessibility at Georgetown” website.
We hope this new site will be a valuable resource to our community by:
- Better connecting members of our community who have disabilities with available resources, services and programs so they can thrive;
- Educating and enhancing awareness in our community about disability, inclusiveness and disability culture; and
- Providing guidance on ways we can all help improve accessibility.
The site brings together information and resources related to disability accommodations, the physical accessibility of our campus and spaces, digital accessibility, disability programs and scholarship, event planning guidance and relevant policies. The site also highlights the disability community at Georgetown and the vital contributions that individuals who have disabilities make to our mission.
We would like to thank our colleagues on the Accessibility Website Working Group, who will continue to advise on the site to ensure that it provides the most up-to-date information as our accessibility resources evolve.
Thank you for joining in the important work of making Georgetown a more accessible community in diversity.
