Dear Georgetown University Staff,
As we close out the 2025-2026 academic year and continue our efforts to position Georgetown as a great place to work, we invite you to respond to the 2026 Georgetown University Staff/AAP Survey. This questionnaire is designed to help us understand how our staff/AAP employees connect and engage with their work and the university, to identify what is working well as well as what areas may need improvements and where we might need to build or expand systems or practices to improve our workplace.
The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, your responses will be anonymous and your participation will be incredibly valuable, particularly as we prepare to welcome incoming President Peñalver to Georgetown. All responses are confidential, and the survey administrator, ModernThink, will not provide to Georgetown any of your survey answers that might allow for identification during analysis (e.g., through a combination of demographics, campus, etc.).
This is the second all-staff survey conducted by the university in recent years, following the Cultural Climate Survey that took place in October 2022. The results of that survey helped to inform university direction, including the implementation of Learning in GMS, a dynamic learning management system built into the Georgetown Management System to support university-wide learning and development, and the establishment of our Employee Resource Group network. Your contributions through this year’s survey will provide important insights in both assessing the impacts of those changes and others, and providing a baseline for the current environment at Georgetown. This survey will include some of the same questions from the 2022 Cultural Climate survey as well as many others.
We are grateful to the Staff/AAP Advisory Council for its engagement as we’ve developed this survey, which is intended specifically for staff and AAPs.
Later today, you should receive an email from ModernThink with the subject line “2026 Georgetown University Staff/AAP Survey.” This message will include a personalized invitation with login and password information. The survey will remain open until 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 20. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the Office of Assessment and Decision Support at oads@georgetown.edu.
We look forward to reading your responses and sharing the lessons learned from this survey with the community.
Sincerely,
Norman J. Beauchamp Jr.
