Georgetown Announces Speakers for 2015 Commencement

May 4, 2015 – United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Rep. John Lewis (D-Georgia) and talk show host Charlie Rose are among those scheduled to speak at the university’s 2015 Commencement May 14-17.

Georgetown holds individual graduation ceremonies for each undergraduate and professional school as well as award celebrations on campus, beginning with Senior Convocation and the McCourt School of Public Policy commencement ceremony on May 14.

“We are fortunate to welcome an extraordinary breadth and depth of leaders to share their insight during this year’s Commencement Weekend," says Georgetown President John J. DeGioia."Our speakers bring a great range of perspectives from their experience as distinguished leaders in journalism, public health, international law and public office and will inspire our graduates as they take the next step toward their professional, academic and personal aspirations."
