Dear Members of the Georgetown University Community,
The Division of Student Affairs, Office of Transportation Management, GUSA and GradGov are excited to announce the start of a pilot program providing weekend GUTS service for the remainder of the spring semester.
The university, GUSA and GradGov have been working together this academic year to collect information and feedback on students’ transportation needs and preferences, and to explore various options for improving transit accessibility. The Hoya Transit Pilot program, launched in the fall and running through May 2023, has been one valuable initiative for assessing these needs and resources. The weekend GUTS service pilot will provide another helpful opportunity for assessment and feedback.
- From the weekend of February 25-26 to May 6-7, there will be GUTS service between the Hilltop GUTS bus turnaround and the Dupont Circle and Rosslyn GUTS stops on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. – 12 a.m. The shuttle will run on a loop, alternating between the Rosslyn and Dupont Circle stops. You can track the status of the GUTS bus via NextGUTS.
- The GUTS Downtown Campus route – which serves 55 H St. NW – will also be expanded to include Sunday service. You can view the Saturday and Sunday schedule on the OTM website.
The university will monitor ridership during this pilot program period, and over the summer will assess this data and other student feedback with GUSA and GradGov to help shape future transportation service planning.
Please contact the Office of Transportation Management at 202-687-4372 or otm@georgetown.edu with any questions about the weekend GUTS service pilot.
Sincerely,
