Title: FY2024 Staff/AAP Merit-Based Salary Increases

Dear Staff and AAP Colleagues,

We are writing today to announce the salary increase pool available for the upcoming year related to the annual Staff/AAP performance review process. Our staff and AAP colleagues have contributed in so many ways to the well-being and sustainment of the university during the pandemic, as well as to our immense progress over this past year. Recognizing and rewarding particularly outstanding service is a priority for university leadership.

The university has allocated funding that will allow campuses to devote 3.50 percent of their FY2023 staff and AAP compensation budget toward merit-based salary increases after  July 1, 2023 for fiscal year 2024 (July 1, 2023 – July 30, 2024). Campus leaders will be in touch with school and unit leaders with further information that  should be considered as merit allocations are determined. Merit allocations should be closely tied to the annual performance review process, and are intended to recognize staff and AAP excellence, outstanding contributions and professional growth.

We recognize that economic conditions and uncertainty are impacting the daily lives of our community members, and continue to review and assess how our compensation and benefits align with the work of our dedicated staff and AAP community. We are fortunate to have so many who demonstrate sustained commitment to Georgetown’s mission. Georgetown is committed to enhancing the long-term value of our benefits package. Accordingly, we will continue to invest in comprehensive benefits that promote the sustained health and financial security of Georgetown employees and their families, such as we did with the July 2022 benefits enhancements regarding parental leave, Paid Time Off (PTO), paid sick leave, and disability leave, as well as reducing the length of the TAP service requirement.

Please know we are grateful for the many ways that you make our university mission possible, and we look forward to what we will achieve together in the coming year.

Gratefully,

David B. Green, Interim Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Robert M. Groves, Provost

Edward B. Healton, Executive Vice President for Health Sciences

William M. Treanor, Executive Vice President and Dean of the Law Center
