Hillary Clinton to present human rights awards at Georgetown University

Awardees include former ISIS captive, Nadia Murad, and Wai Wai Nu, a Rohingya advocate for peace in Myanmar

WHAT: 

Secretary Clinton will speak at Georgetown University on Monday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. on the importance of women’s leadership in advancing human rights, justice and peace. She will present awards to two young women—Nadia Murad and Wai Wai Nu—who have overcome tremendous personal adversity and become powerful voices for women’s rights in conflict. Her remarks are part of an annual Hillary Rodham Clinton awards ceremony hosted by Georgetown University’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security.
