Writing Personal Statements for Graduate Fellowships
Students sometimes write personal statements that read as CVs in narrative form, but successful personal statements should tell your story in a way that addresses what you will bring to the fellowship program and how the fellowship fits into your goals. In this workshop, students will learn how to write about their academic and professional backgrounds, avoid common mistakes found in personal statements, and determine fit with the funder’s mission.
Intended Audience: Georgetown University graduate students (PhD, master’s, US, and international students)
