VoiceThread: Adding Asynchronous Engagement in Your Courses
VoiceThread is a media-rich interactive collaboration and sharing tool that enables instructors and students to build online presentations by adding images, documents, PowerPoint slides, and videos to which other users can add comments, using voice (with a mic), text, or video (via a webcam), for asynchronous discussion. Instructors can assign students a VoiceThread activity as a part of course activities and graded assignments in Canvas. In this workshop, participants will learn how to:
- Create and share VoiceThread slides
- View VoiceThread slides
- Comment on VoiceThread slides
- Give students VoiceThread Create/Comment/Watch assignments
- Use VoiceThread in Canvas
Registration and participation require a georgetown.edu, gunet.georgetown.edu, or medstar.net email address. The Zoom link for this workshop will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
