Using Online Whiteboards for Student Engagement and Collaboration
Online whiteboards provide a virtual space for instructors and students to brainstorm, organize ideas, and communicate concepts all the while collaborating real-time or asynchronously to a digital canvas. Online whiteboards include multiple interactive features such as writing, drawing, and inserting images and sticky notes.
Dahlgren Memorial Library’s Instructional Technology Design and Development (ITDD) division is offering a workshop on how to use online whiteboards – Google Jamboard and Zoom Whiteboard, to promote student engagement and collaboration in face-to-face, online, and hybrid classes. The workshop will be facilitated via Zoom.
Registration and participation require a georgetown.edu, gunet.georgetown.edu, or medstar.net email address. The Zoom link for this workshop will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
