Solidarity-based Initiatives and Social Entrepreneurship as Contributors to Environmental Sustainability: A European Viewpoint
Since the 1980s, advanced economies have been experiencing strong dynamics of solidarity-based initiatives and social entrepreneurship. This lecture will characterize these dynamics from a European viewpoint and show their active contribution to solving sustainability issues, though still at the margins and with ambiguous links to our neoliberal economies.

Jérôme Blanc is a full professor of economics and dean of research at Sciences Po Lyon. His works notably deal with the plurality of monetary forms and use and what is referred to in France and Latin-speaking countries as “social and solidarity economy.”
Dr. Wolf is a professor for the German and European Studies Master’s program. His research and teaching interests include the European and German economy and monetary history.
