Search for Common Ground Information Session
Search for Common Ground (Search) is an international organization committed to conflict transformation. Since 1982, we have led programs around the world to help societies channel their differences away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative solutions. Our long-term programming in 43 countries and network of over 1,200 partners around the world enabled Search to reach over 700,000 direct participants and 50 million people through media programs in 2016, in many of the world’s most challenging conflicts. Within Search, the Global Policy and Outreach team focuses on building the policy case for the peacebuilding field. It does this by working collaboratively with Search’s teams and partners around the world and leveraging their analysis, data, and expertise to inform the policies of emerging and established actors relevant to Search’s work. It provides operational and locally-rooted policy analysis and recommendations that encourage policymakers to support and use peacebuilding more by advocating for more supportive institutional norms and structures, more and healthier funding to implementers, and more policies that encourage peacebuilding. Applications for spring internships will open in September at https://jobs.lever.co/sfcg.
