Title
Underestimating Habits in Social Interaction
Abstract
The habits we recognize are simple behaviors like putting on a seatbelt or brushing our teeth. But habit automaticity affects all parts of our lives, including our interactions with other people. In this talk, I first define what habits are, then show how they influence social interactions online and in person, and finally discuss why we overlook even strong habits that guide our behavior.
