Martin Pomper, MD, PhD, Distinguished Chair of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at UT Southwestern, delivers a special guest lecture on Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA) imaging.
Dr. Pomper is the recipient of the National Academy of Medicine award for the development of the PSMA imaging agents.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Pomper is an internationally recognized leader in Molecular Imaging Research. He is the creator and co-creator of more than 60 patented and patent pending creations. This includes the PSMA targeting PET imaging agents, now in widespread clinical use. He has received numerous awards for his work as an investigator, physician, and teacher. He was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2017 and National Academy of Inventors in 2021.
Dr. Pomper received his BS, MD and PhD degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champagne. He completed an internship in Medicine at Johns Hopkins, where he also completed residency in Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear Medicine and a fellowship in Neuroradiology. He served as a faculty member at Johns Hopkins from 1995 to 2023. He served as Henry N. Wagner Professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine and Director of Division of Nuclear Medicine. He also directed the Johns Hopkins Center for Translational and Molecular Imaging Program and Chief of Molecular Imaging Research among other appointments.
