Is it About A Bicycle?: Writers In Conversation is a series presented by Solas Nua in association with Georgetown Global Irish Studies Initiative that brings together contemporary Irish writers or writers based in Ireland, with leaders and experts from a variety of sectors to explore their shared interests across disciplines. The title comes from Flann O’Brien’s classic comic novel, The Third Policeman, a meandering tale about the nature of time, death, and the absurdity of human existence.
Nidhi Zak/Aria Eipe is a poet, pacifist and fabulist. Auguries of a Minor God (Faber & Faber, 2021), her debut poetry collection, was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, Shakespeare & Co Year of Reading selection, and listed in the “Best Poetry Books of 2021” by The Irish Times and The Irish Independent. Born in India, she grew up across the Middle East, Europe and North America, before calling Ireland home.
Anmol Tikoo is a film-maker and educator, most recently at the United World College in India, where he taught philosophy and film alongside short courses on development and ecological education. His work has been featured in media outlets and publications, including The New Yorker, The Wire, and Time Out. He has worked on Indian and international documentary and film projects, and was the Residency Manager for Sangam House International Writers Residency Program in Bangalore.
